Overview
Address Downtown is the tower that started it all for the Address brand: 63 floors right on the boulevard, with the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa outside the window rather than in the distance. It's a city hotel through and through, built for a weekend of shopping, dining and fountain shows rather than sun loungers.
Check-in feels slick and the staff know the drill for a Friday-night arrival with tired kids and shopping bags. There are four pools including a children's pool, a Qix Club for ages four to twelve, and a spa with a proper hammam. Ask for a fountain-facing room — the free nightly show becomes part of the stay, and the terrace tables at dinner fill up fast when it's about to start.
There's no beach here and no lazy river — this is a vertical hotel on a boulevard, so it suits a two or three night city break rather than a full week. Rooms book out hard around New Year's Eve and any big Downtown event, and the boulevard gets genuinely loud and crowded on those nights. In peak summer the appeal shifts indoors and to the pools, since walking to the mall at 2pm is not something anyone enjoys.

Eating and drinking
- Cetara — An Italian restaurant built around southern Italian and Mediterranean cooking — fresh pasta, seafood and wood-fired grills, with an open-air terrace looking over the city. It also does the hotel's breakfast buffet, which works well for families before a day at the mall.
- GAL — A modern Middle Eastern concept with an open kitchen and a large wine cellar. Leans more toward an evening out for adults than a quick family dinner, but the food is rooted in familiar regional flavours.
- KRASOTA Dubai — An immersive gastro-theatre dinner combining a multi-course tasting menu with visual projections and staged performances. This is a special-occasion evening for adults rather than a casual family meal, and worth booking ahead.
- Lounge — A relaxed all-day spot serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a comfortable lobby-level setting. Easy to drop into with children between activities, without the formality of the fine-dining venues upstairs.
- The Garden — An outdoor-facing space that trades the tower views for greenery and a more relaxed pace. A good option if you want to eat outside without booking the terrace at Cetara.
- Café — The hotel's pastry and cake counter, useful for a mid-afternoon stop with children or a coffee before heading out to the fountain show.
- Cigar Lounge — A sixth-floor spot with a humidor and Burj Khalifa views, built for an after-dinner drink rather than a meal. An adults' space, not somewhere to bring the kids.
Getting there
From Dubai Marina or JBR it's around 25-30 minutes down Sheikh Zayed Road depending on traffic, and from Abu Dhabi it's closer to 90 minutes. Dubai International Airport is about 15-20 minutes away, and the hotel offers valet and self-parking. Given the Dubai Mall metro and tram links right outside, a transfer isn't essential if you're comfortable navigating Downtown on arrival.
